Feb 16 Lev 26:14-27:34; Psa 30:4-12

The flip side of yesterday’s question; what implications do the verses after 26:13 have for America today? Why thirteen verses for the blessings of following God and thirty-two for the curses of disobedience?

On what is the valuation of persons based in 27:1-7? What do you think of it?

Does David really mean for us to sing aloud to God? What do you think of the fact that when we seek forgiveness that He no longer holds it against us? Will you give thanks to Him forever?

  1. I have no problem with different values. I was born in the wrong time period. I would be perfectly happy to be a housewife and let Jake earn the “money”. I know that what I do for my family is of great value.

  2. I don’t have a problem with the way God put value on people. I think he done it according to how they could work. I used to have a large house, live stock, and kids and I worked 8-10 hrs a day. I threw hay and straw bales around and lifted patients when I had my private patient busness and worked in the nursing home. And washed walls one room after another until they were done. now I wash one room a day and rest a day to do the next.I never got over 5 hours sleep, there wasn’t enough time in the day.I am glad to slow down some.

  3. I guess I just found it easier to compare 50 “units” to 30 and so on!

Does the fact that God is putting a “dollar” value on a person say anything else to us?

  4. I found this in my Bible on Lev27:1-7
male 1 1/4 lb of silver- female 12 oz
    5-20 male 8 oz female 4 oz
    1mo – 5 yr male 2 oz female 1 1/4 oz
60-over male 6 oz female 4 oz of silver
this makes it easier to understand for me.
what do I think of the value? That is what God decided, and that is how it should be.
yes,we are to sing aloud to God!
I praise God for his forgiveness of my sins!!!
Yes,I will give thanks to God forever for all that he has done for me and will continue to do for me.
