Feb 2 Exo 34:1-36:7; Psa 22:1-8

How do you suppose the attitude and expectations of the people differed on Moses’ second trip up the mountain to receive the Ten Commandments (Chapter 34)? And what do you supposed went through Moses’ mind (after the ten plagues and the power displayed there) when God said that He would perform miracles like no one had ever seen (34:10)?

“Moderns” have greatly ridiculed the fact that Christians often destroyed “great artifacts” of conquered civilizations. With 34:12-16 in mind, what are your thoughts on this?

“You shall work six days, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even during plowing time and harvest you shall rest” (34:21). Thoughts of comments?

Have you ever spent forty days alone with God (24:18; 34:28)?

God gave Bezelel and Oholiab great skill to do (and to teach those skills to others) many things needed for the construction of the tabernacle. In what areas has He gifted you? Are you using those skills for His glory?

Would that we too would have so much given to God’s service that we would have to restrain the people from bringing more (36:4-7)!!

Psalm 22:1, 8 are eerily echoed in the last hours of Jesus, the “son of David,” the same David who penned this psalm!
